Sanders Promises 'Medicare for All' as He Calls Trump an 'Embarrassment'

Presidential hopefull Bernie Sanders embarked on his campaign trail Friday night as he promised students at the University of Iowa “Medicare for all” and an end to President Donald Trump.
Sanders, who spoke to a cheering crowd of student socialists, called Trump 'the most dangerous president in modern American history.'
“This is a campaign that not only is going to win the Democratic nomination … that is not only going to defeat Donald Trump -- the most dangerous president in modern American history --, but this campaign is about more than that,” Sanders said.

The senator then added the campaign as about “about transforming this country” so that the U.S. “works for all – not just the 1 percent.”
“We will no longer tolerate the greed of Wall Street, the greed of corporate America and the greed of the billionaire class,” Sanders said.
He then specifically called out the pharmaceutical industries and health insurance.
“I know you have unlimited amounts of money,” Sanders continued.

"You will no longer continue to rip off the American people and charge us, by far, the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs," he added.
The socialist recently told CNN town hall that health care should be a “human right” and that the U.S. “shamefully” and that the US was the only major country that did “not to guarantee health care to all people.”

“Donald Trump embarrasses us every single day,” Sanders said.
“President Trump, you don’t work for working people when you introduce legislation that would’ve overturned insurance for 32 million people.”
Sanders also criticized the role of big money in political campaigns before bragging about his campaign’s financial beginnings.
“My friends, we are going to win this election, not because we have a super-PAC funded by billionaires. We are going to win this election because we are going to put together the strongest grassroots coalition in the history of our country.
“There is an enormous amount of work to do – let us do it.”
Earlier this month, Sanders hired an anti-Trump illegal immigrant as the spokesperson for his 2020 presidential election campaign.
Belén Sisa, a non-citizen, millennial left-wing activist, joined Bernie Sanders’ 2020 team as his deputy national press secretary this week, yet she won’t be eligible to cast a vote for her boss in the election.
Sisa, who currently resides in Arizona but describes herself as an illegal immigrant, says she hopes she can fight "anti-immigrant attacks and policies" by joining socialist Sanders' campaign.
