Leftist Thugs Call Texas Boy 'Hitler' for Running Border Wall Fundraising Stand
Young boy attacked by liberals for supporting Trump's border wall
A Texas boy who set up a hot chocolate stand to raise money for Trump's has been called “Hitler” by anti-Trump border wall activists, according to his mom.
Benton Stevens became curious about border wall after hearing President Trump's State of Union address.
Benton's mother Jennifer Stevens said she and her husband explained to their son what it was about, according to KXAN NBC.
“He wanted to know about the wall, so we explained what it was about, and he (Benton) was like ‘I want to raise money for the wall,’” the Austin, Texas, area mother explained.
“People think he’s brainwashed. Well, of course, he supports Trump because we do, and he hears how we talk and this and that. Call that brainwashing, but I call it parenting because we instill our values in him.”
As the boy's interest and excitement grew he begged his parents to allow him to set up a stand to help raise money to build the wall.
His older brothers helped him, and his mom supplied the hot chocolate.
Benton’s border wall stand raked in $231 in sales in just one hour on Saturday.
But the liberals were not impressed.
“I guess some liberals – or whatever you want to call them – they were griping at the owner (of the store) and going in and yelling at him and slamming him on Facebook,” Stevens told a KXAN reporter.
Even though the stand wasn't on the store's property, they decided to shut it down to not cause him any problems.
Even though the stand was only in operation for a short while, she said a photo posted on Facebook help it go viral.
“It seems like there are more people supporting it than against it, but the people that are against it keep going and going and going,” she said.
Excited by the reaction, Benton wanted to get back in business and set the stand up again.
“He was called a little Hitler yesterday,” Stevens explained.
“A guy pointed at him in his car, and then he said that we didn’t like brown people. I don’t understand that at all.”
“Your kid's nickname already is Little Hitler. Good job getting him bullied [expletive]," Facebook user Rich Watkins posted.
But another user Charles Bowman pledged to donate $2 to Benton’s Venmo account @BentonsHotChocolateStand every time Benton received a negative comment.
Facebook user Miguel Jesus Ortiz said: “I would’ve spat on that kids stand, and would’ve taken his money,” he posted Monday night.
The family shrugged off the negative attention, calling it the “price you pay when you make a political stance.”
According to the Stevens family, they will send the money raised, now over $2,000, to GoFundMe page aimed at helping the president’s border wall.
A US Air Force veteran who launched a GoFundMe page aimed at building “the wall” on the US southern border, which has since passed the $20 million mark has received “Presidential seal of approval."
