Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar is registered to raise funds for Hamas-linked Council
Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar is registered to raise funds for the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) just one week following her anti-Semitic claim that the GOP is funded by Israel.
Omar is also scheduled to speak at an event with a man who previously praised killing Jews.
The event will discuss advancing justice and empowering Muslims, according to the organization’s invitation.
Tickets start at $55 per person, but tables can cost $500 upwards.
Speaker Hassan Shibly, who is the executive director for CAIR-Florida, stated that Hezbollah and Hamas are not terrorist organizations, according to a report from the Conservative Review.
Event host Hussam Ayloush, the chief executive director for CAIR-LA, compared the state of Israel to the Islamic State during a speech in April.
Shibley has also described U.S. armed forces as radical terrorists.
CAIR is a renowned pro-Palestinian organization with links too Islamic terror groups.
.@IlhanMN tweets were a disgrace & her apology was inadequate. Anti-Semitism has no place in the United States Congress, much less the Foreign Affairs Committee. Those who engage in anti-Semitic tropes should not just be denounced, they should face consequences for their words.— Vice President Mike Pence (@VP) February 13, 2019
CAIR has also been listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in funding millions of dollars to the terrorist organization Hamas, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Additionally, CAIR has been named by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a terrorist organization along with al-Qaeda and ISIS in 2014.
