Former U.S. Ambassador slams House Speaker over Climate Committee

The Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley asked a simple question regarding House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Climate Committee, protecting God’s creation included babies.

Pelosi tweeted on Thursday, “We have a moral responsibility to protect God’s creation for generations to come. That is why today, we named members to the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. #ActOnClimate.”

But Haley replied:

"Does God’s creation not include protecting babies as well Madame Speaker? A committee on that issue would be welcome.”

Pelosi announced nine Democratic members to the new Select Committee on Climate Crisis, according to NBC.

In Pelosi's statement, she said, “The American people have spoken and demanded bold action to take on the climate crisis, which is the existential threat of our time."

Pro-life activists have slammed the Democratic Party following the recent abortion legislation which was signed into law by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The new “Reproductive Health Act” allows women to have s abortions up to the time of birth.

The law also revokes the requirement for medical care for babies born alive if abortion has failed, the Liberty Counsel reports.

The law has also repealed the term 'homicide' describing the death of a child in the womb.

President Donald Trump’s called for a legislation to ban late-term abortions

According to the Western Journal: Pro-life supporters have long highlighted the inconsistency in the legal treatment of the unborn child in cases involving violence against the pregnant mother leading to the baby’s death versus when the mother wishes to have an abortion.

In the first case, the perpetrator can be found guilty of murder in three-quarters of the states, whereas in the second instance the U.S. Supreme Court has defined abortion as a constitutional right.

In other words, the unborn child’s rights are entirely reliant on the mother’s frame of mind.

Last month, Northam made headlines while advocating for a late-term abortion bill in Virginia.

He said if a baby were born alive under the provisions of the stated law, “the infant would be kept comfortable,” while a discussion ensued between the mother and her physicians about whether to keep the child alive, CNBC reported.

In response to President Donald Trump’s call for legislation to ban late-term abortions, Pelosi called it “quite a sad thing.”

During the President's State of the Union speech he urged lawmakers, “To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking the Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb.”

“It’s really quite a sad thing when you know that we’ll be talking about something that applies to the health and life — health and ability to have other children of women,” Pelosi told the Daily Caller.
