The UK's major international airport London Heathrow has been forced to grounds flights following r a suspected "drone sighting" just weeks after Gatwick's chaos.

Drone sightings caused flights to be canceled last month at Gatwick Airport, disrupting travel plans for 140,000 people.

“We are responding to a drone sighting at Heathrow,” The airport said in a statement.

“As a precautionary measure, we have stopped departures while we investigate. We apologize to passengers for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Both Gatwick and Heathrow have spent millions of pounds on “military-grade anti-drone equipment” to tackle drones, which is still being investigated.

UK police have arrested two people suspected to be behind the recent drone attacks at Gatwick Airport near London.
