Boy Scouts of America On Verge Of Bankruptcy After Gender-Neutral Name Change
Decision to change its program name result in sinking membership

The Boy scouts of America, the 108-year-old organization synonymous with traditional values in the US, is on the verge of declaring bankruptcy, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The report comes amid news of sinking membership and various controversies surrounding the traditional organization, including its decision to change its program name from Boy Scouts to 'gender natural' Scouts BSA allowing girls to enter the program.
A Chicago law firm Sidley Austin has been appointed to support in what would be Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, according to reports.

The organization, which has deep roots in American tradition spanning generations, bowed to pressure insisting it become gender 'more inclusive.'
The Scouts organization also allowed openly gay scouts in 2013 and scoutmasters in 2015, and then finally allowing girls in 2018.
As a result, membership has continued to plummet from over 4 million members to 2.3 million members at present, according to reports.
As the numbers continue to decline, the Mormon church declared its long-standing partnership with the organization would end, announcing the formation of its program for boys starting in 2020.

The church was also “deeply troubled” by the group’s decision to allow openly gay leaders.
The Boys Scouts has also come under fire for holding records of sex abuse committed by scoutmasters; a practice called the “perversion files” which was covered up for decades.
Mike Roe wrote in May of the “death of the Boy Scouts of America.”
But the name change may have been a gender-inclusive bridge too far, with some conservatives now tweeting eulogies to US manhood.
