Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler has claimed that evidence of President Donald Trump directing is a former lawyer to break 'campaign finance laws' could warrant removal from the White House.

Nadler is the soon to be chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, responsible for drafting articles of impeachment

“They would be impeachable offenses,” Nadler said.

“Whether they are important enough to justify an impeachment is a different question. But, certainly, they would be impeachable offenses, because, even though they were committed before the president became president, they were committed in the service of fraudulently obtaining the office.”

Nadler claimed that the Republican majority in Congress protected Trump from legal exposure, insisting the new Democratic majority would not do the same.

The White House dismissed the case last week as the President declared himself "totally" clear.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller released a memo advising a “substantial” prison sentence for Cohen on Friday

Cohen produced a $130,000 hush payment to Stephanie Clifford, otherwise known as "Stormy Daniels" at Trump's direction, the document alleges.

Protectors along with election law experts say the payment amounts to an “in-kind” campaign donation, which should have been reported to
federal officials.

Cohen was sued by Clifford to invalidate the non-disclosure agreement which she signed in exchange for the settlement.

President Donald Trump won the defamation suit brought by Clifford after he accused her on Twitter of lying about a man supposedly bullying her into staying quiet over sexual encounter claims.

The ruling highlighted the fact that a large number of liberals had donated vast amounts of money in the desperate hope it would bring down Trump, but is now just paying his court fees.
