Investigation Finds 24 Adult Migrants Posing as Children in UK Schools

A legal fight has been launched to prevent almost £1 million of taxpayers’ money being used to help adult asylum seekers posing as children in the UK, according to reports.

39 refugees whose ages 'are in doubt' arrived in Liverpool, UK, according to authorities.

After specialist assessments where initiated, costing the taxpayer a further £60,000, 24 asylum seekers were found to be adults, while 15 were under 18.

The remaining 17 cases are currently under review.

As support for asylum seekers under the age of 18 is better, many lie about their age to counter this.

Recently, an adult asylum seeker posing as a 15-year-old boy was discovered by officials and their complaint at Stoke High School in Ipswich (a county town of Suffolk, England).

Authorities say that when the age of asylum seekers comes into question, their legal representatives contest the council’s age assessment by threatening to take the council to judicial review.

Rather than pay high legal costs, the council has adopted to provide homes and support for the young immigrants costing the taxpayer £350,000 a year.

Police told not to report immigrants if they are 'crime victims.' 

According to the new guidance, police should turn a 'blind eye to illegal immigrants' if they are victims of crime.

It states officers ‘will not take enforcement action about any suspected immigration breaches’ when immigrants are victims of crime.

Chief officers accepted the guidance following he Windrush scandal - the Commonwealth citizens being wrongfully detained and deported.

The guidance also maintains that a ban on checking the police national computer primary to see if somebody is an illegal immigrant.

‘The police will share that information with Immigration Enforcement, but will not take any enforcement action about any suspected immigration breaches.

Sarah and Giles, who have fostered dozens of child asylum seekers, said several had turned out to be adults, but social services had ‘no interest’ in being told.

After reading this week about extensive doubts over the ages of some young men coming from Calais, they said:

‘We could never understand why this has not come out before.’

Using false names because they fear retaliation if they are named, Sarah and Giles said one boy, supposedly 15, lived with them for two years and attended a local school.

But when he ultimately left them, he declared: ‘You English are so stupid – I’m in my twenties.’

They said dentists and GPs routinely turned away their foster ‘children’ because they could tell they were grown, men.

But they were ‘fobbed off’ when they warned social services, and fretted they would be accused of racism if they made a fuss.

Speaking from their home in an English university town, Sarah and Giles said all they wanted to do was offer love and care to child refugees but were instead expected to provide a home for men pretending to be children and send them to schools with actual youngsters.
