FBI Agents Raid Office of Donald Trump’s Former Tax Lawyer
Federal agents arrived at the City Hall office of Finance Committee Chairman Ed Burke

FBI agents have raided the offices of a lawyer who had previously done tax work for President Donald Trump, according to reports.
Federal agents arrived at the City Hall office of Finance Committee Chairman Ed Burke on an unannounced visit before covering the windows and floors with brown paper and ordering everyone to get out, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
On Thursday morning, around 15 FBI agents showed up at the city hall, some even going across the road to the underground parking garage at the Daley Cente to seize Burke’s car.

The agents left with boxes of files, computers and two monitors after spending half a day rummaging through the entire office.
Although the US attorney’s office declined to comment, Burke issued a statement later on Thursday afternoon.
“As you are aware, there have previously been several other investigations such as this. In every instance, we cooperated fully. And in every instance nothing has been found,” Burke said, Chicago Sun-Times reported.
“So once again we will be cooperating fully and I am completely confident that at the end of the day nothing will be found amiss in this instance either.”
Burke’s law firm of Klafter & Burke previously worked with Donald Trump's companies, reportedly to decrease the property tax amount on Trump Tower and his Chicago property portfolio.

Burke was purportedly able to cut property taxes on the downtown tower by more than $14 million, the newspaper said.
Citing “irreconcilable differences” Burke quit working for Trump this summer, according to letters filed with the Illinois State Property Tax Appeal Board.
The news comes as Trump’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, entered a plea agreement to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the alleged Russian meddling in 2016.
Trump recently slammed special counsel Robert Mueller's forthcoming report on the Russia investigation.
Muller’s team has been investigating the role of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election is soon to make their findings public.
Ahead of the release, the president blamed Mueller for "covering all of his conflicts of interest" throughout the probe.
