Californian Liberals To Fly 'Trump Baby Balloon' Over LA Ahead of Midterms
The Trump blimp flight will also coincide with the opening of Politicon
Just months after London Mayor Sadiq Khan gave the go-ahead for the Donald Trump ‘baby blimp’ to fly over the Houses of parliament, the ballon is now set to fly over Los Angeles, California.
Californian liberals have decided it would be a good idea to give flight to the Trump baby balloon again, ahead of the midterms which is just weeks away.
The Trump blimp flight will also coincide with the opening of Politicon, a major seasonal non-party aligned politics conference.
The blimp, which portrays the President wearing a nappy, is expected to be visible from 8 am local time (4 pm BST).
The blimp first flew over London back in July during Donald Trump's highly anticipated visit to the UK.
Trump told The Sun while in the UK: “I guess when they put out blimps to make me feel unwelcome, no reason for me to go to London.”
The liberal's plan to give flight to the blimp comes following Trump’s appearance on CBS’s ’60 Minutes’ where he told Lesley Stahl “I’m not a baby”.
Since the President's visit to the UK, an additional £34,000 has been donated to fly the blimp around the world.
According to the blimps Crowdfunder page: “We’ve had countless requests for Trump Baby to visit countries all over the world under threat from a visit from the orange terror.
“So let’s fund a global travel fund for Trump Baby and ensure a global rolling trolling.”
Replicas of the Trump blimp balloon have been flown throughout protests in Chicago, Washington state and New Jersey.
When it was declared Trump would visit Ireland in November, a tour which has since been canceled, plans were made to fly the blimp over to greet him.
Sheila Menon, one of the balloon’s original organizers, claimed in July: “We know that behind the humor of this, the Trump baby represents a whole number of campaigns and issues.
“This isn’t just about mocking him.
“This is actually about drawing attention to his policies, policies that he’s putting into place like nobody’s business since he’s been in power.”
Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage denounced the blimp defining it as “the biggest insult to a sitting US President ever”.
Speakers at the Politicon convention, which takes place on October 20 and 21, will include Michael Avenatti, a lawyer for adult actress Stormy Daniels who alleges she had an affair with Trump, and Me Too campaigner Alyssa Milano.
