Julians Assange as stepped down as chief editor of Wikileaks as a result of being continually denied internet and other communication formats.
Assange, who has been trapped inside the Ecuadorian embassy in London for just over 6 years, will continue as a publisher.
Six months ago, the Ecuador Government decided to cut off Asanages' communication and limit access to members of his legal team.
He will be replaced as editor by Kristinn Hrafnsson, an Icelandic investigative journalist.

According to The express: WikiLeaks statement said: "Due to extraordinary circumstances where Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks has been held incommunicado (except visits by his lawyers) for six months while arbitrarily detained in the Ecuadorian embassy, Mr Assange has delegated Kristinn Hrafnsson Editor in Chief of WikiLeaks.
Mr Hrafnsson said: "I condemn the treatment of Julian Assange that leads to my new role, but I welcome the responsibility to secure the production of the important work based on WikiLeaks ideals."

Plan to free Assange
Russian diplomats held a secret meeting in London last year with associates close to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to discuss helping him flee the UK, according to reports.
The strategic plan was designed to smuggle Assange out of Ecuador’s London embassy in a diplomatic vehicle and then quickly transported to another country.
According to multiple sources, one such destination was Russia, a safe haven for Assange as he would not be a risk of extradition to the US.
The plan was allegedly abandoned as the risk margin was far too high.
