Pope Defrocks Pedophile Priest As Accusations Of Cover-ups Explode

Pope Francis has ordered priest accused of sexually abusing children to be removed from the priesthood, according to church authorities said on Saturday.
Reverend Cristian Precht Bañados, 77, was suspended from church duties in 2012 following an investigation into child abuse.
Bañados defrocking comes as the Catholic church is inundated with countless sexual abuse allegations against clergy spanning decades.
Last week, Neon Nettle reported Pope Francis commissioned a shocking four-book study in 2010 as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires attacking child abuse victims and defending a pedophile priest convicted of raping a young boy.
In 2010, Francis, who was known as Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, requested a lawyer and jurist by the name of Marcelo Sancinett to carry out a 2,600-page study consisting of four volumes for the Argentinian Episcopal Conference to 'discredit' child abuse victims of pedophile priest Father Julio César Grassi.

According to the DM: In May, all of Chile's 34 bishops submitted their resignations over the sex abuse scandal.
Despite this, Precht's is the first formal dismissal decreed by the Pope.
Once a popular figure in Chile, he headed the church's office in defense of human rights in the 1970s during part of the blood-soaked dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet.
In a 2013 statement, he denied 'ever forcing anyone's will, be it an adult or a minor, woman or man.'

The pope had ordered an investigation and denounced a 'culture of abuse and cover-up' in Chile's Catholic Church.
And last month, Chilean authorities raided the headquarters of the country's bishop's conference as part of a widespread investigation into sex abuse committed by members of the Marist Brothers order.
The Pope has also summoned representatives of all the world's Catholic bishops to a four-day summit in Rome early next year to discuss how best to protect children and vulnerable adults.
However, many remain unimpressed by the response of the Church, leading the Pope to beg for forgiveness when he visit Ireland three weeks ago.
Just yesterday a press report in the Netherlands implicated more than half of the country’s senior clerics in covering up sexual assault of children between 1945 and 2010.
The Santiago archbishop's office said the decision to dismiss Precht cannot be appealed.
