Former Clinton Advisor: 'Ocasio-Cortez Could Win the Presidency in 2024'
'Ultimate nightmare' scenario would be AOC becoming president.
Former Bill Clinton adviser Dick Morris has suggested that radical socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could be a potential Democratic presidential nominee in 2024, not only that, but she could also win.
Morris said the “ultimate nightmare” scenario would be AOC becoming president.
But the former Clinton advisor said Donald Trump would beat Ocasio-Cortez "to a pulp.”
“Here’s the ultimate nightmare — President Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez," Morris warned.
"President AOC. [It] could happen,” Morris outlined.
“She’ll turn 35, the age specified in the Constitution to be president, three months before she would take office in 2024," Morris said.
"And the politics of that year are folding in such a way that I believe there’s a real chance that AOC will run and could even be nominated.”
“The Democrats are desperate, and they want to dump Biden, who will be 81 in ’24,” he continued.
“They’re losing the Hispanic vote more each day," he added.
"The latest polls have Trump beating Biden among Latinos — actually winning Latinos," Morris said.
"So, the Democrats, in desperation, may turn to a young, female, charismatic Latina like AOC."
"Thank God I don’t think she can be elected," he added.
"I think Trump will beat her to a pulp."
"But don’t count AOC out."
"She could well be the Democratic nominee.”
Last month, AOC avoided a question over whether she would be interested in running for president in 2024.
“Listen, I think that we need to focus on keeping a democracy for anybody to be president in the next couple of years."
"And that’s my central focus is helping [the] people of this country,” she told Stephen Colbert during an appearance on “The Law Show,” when asked if the job was appealing to her.
“So it’s possible. So it’s possible,” Colbert replied.
“I don’t know about all that,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
The New York Democrat, 32, would turn 35 just several weeks before the 2024 presidential election, the minimum age required to be president.
The White House has said that President Biden fully intends to run again in 2024, when he will be 81.
