680 Pounds of Fentanyl Seized at Border: 'Enough to Kill 140 Million People'
107,622 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2021

Enough fentanyl to kill 140 million people was seized by border agents in the month of June alone, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) reported.
The FAIR report found that over 680 pounds of fentanyl were seized by Border Patrol in the month of June alone.
Additionally, there were 9,371 pounds of cocaine, 104 pounds of heroin, and 13,167 pounds of methamphetamine seized by authorities.
The report also notes that 107,622 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2021, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
Drug peddling was only one type of crime that occurred on the border in June.
Earlier this year, Neon Nettle reported that fentanyl deaths in American border communities have skyrocketed by 800 percent.
In Riverside County, fixed between Los Angeles and San Diego, the fentanyl crisis has surged to levels that residents never imagined.
Here sits the town of Temecula, with a population of less than 115,000, known for its old-world downtown area and wine country.
Riverside County District Attorney Michael Hestrin says the area is fighting a danger pouring over the border unlike anything residents have seen — fentanyl.
In the last five years, Hestrin says the number of fentanyl-related deaths has increased by more than 800 percent.
“We must take a war-like footing against those killing Americans,” Rep. Ken Calvert (R-CA) said during a meeting in Temecula.
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) suggested a similar plan of action that would criminally charge every individual in the chain of fentanyl distribution with murder when an American dies.
Last month, Border Patrol agents arrested nine gang members, two convicted sex offenders, and a child rapist.
Human traffickers associated with Mexican drug cartels also left 50 men, women, and children dead in the back of a trailer.
FAIR also noted that June 2022 was the single worst June on record.
Border Patrol had 207,416 migrant encounters last month, a 527.6 percent increase from the 33,049 encounters in June 2020.
Meanwhile, two-thirds of the migrants who were encountered last month were single adults.
Earleir this year, a left-wing organization with ties to globalist billionaire George Soros had won a $172 million contract with the federal government to assist illegal immigrants in dodging deportation.
The Biden Administration is on track to bring in a whopping 2.1 million illegal immigrants into the United States in 2022 alone.
