Gavin Newsom Joins Trump’s TRUTH Social to 'Call Out Republican Lies’
'Eight of the top ten states with the highest murder rates happen to be red'

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) has joined President Donald Trump's social media platform in what seems to be an attempt to call out so-called "Republican lies."
The California governor posted his first "truth" on Wednesday evening.
"Here’s the truth," he wrote, attaching a video in which he discussed the "red state murder problem."
"I've not been able to find a single explanation for the fact that we have a red state murder problem," he said.
"Eight of the top ten states with the highest murder rates happen to be red."

"What are the laws and policies in those states that are leading to such carnage?" Newsom continued.
"I just joined Trump’s Truth Social," Newsom stated.
"Going to be on there calling out Republican lies," he said.
"This could get…interesting.
"My first post -- breaking down America’s red state murder problem," the governor told his Twitter followers.

Last week, Newsom tried change the political narrative on crime by deflecting the problem of in Democrat-controlled cities and claiming America has a “red state murder problem."

As Neon Nettle reported:
Newsom was speaking with Elex Michaelson, host of The Issue Is podcast, on the occasion of the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles.
He claimed the media had inflated the broader significance of the recall of San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin.
Newsom, a former mayor of the city, said that the recall had been “so predictable,” and that he had “enjoyed it,” though he argued that nothing about the recall “warranted the attention nationally as some arbiter of something farther-reaching.”
"There are cities all across the country with those same issues," he said.
"What’s interesting is how focused we are on a number of California cities."
"I mean, there was just an analysis of the 65 cities with the highest murder rates. California had two cities. L.A. and San Francisco weren’t even on the list," he added.
"And two-thirds of the cities were in Republican states.
"I mean, you look at the murder rates in the United States of America — this is not to abdicate any of our responsibility here in California — we own it, and we have to take responsibility for doing more, better, but what’s going on with the red state murder problem in America?" he asked.
"Eight of the top states with the fastest-growing murder rates in America are Republican states — really nine, when you consider one of those two, happens to be Georgia."
"That’s a fact. You look at places like Bakersfield, California.
"Kern County is the murder capital of California," he added.
Trump's social media alternative launched on Feb. 21 and saw a long waiting list to create an account.
The platform is run by Trump Media & Technology Group, which is chaired by Trump.
