Megyn Kelly: Biden’s 'Creepy' Censorship Board Chief 'Seems Like a Lunatic'
Host slams Biden’s new 'czar' of the Disinformation Board Nina Jankowicz
Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly has slammed the head of Democrat Joe Biden's "creepy" new taxpayer-funded "Disinformation Governance Board," arguing that she "seems like a lunatic."
Biden has appointed radical leftist Nina Jankowicz to lead the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) new censorship board, which seeks to police online information to ensure that it adheres to the Left's vision of "the truth."
Many have dubbed the so-called "Disinformation Governance Board" as the "Ministry of Truth" after the propaganda department featured in George Orwell's book "1984."
During Sirius XM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast on Monday, the host was speaking with Josh Holmes, Michael Duncan, and "Comfortably Smug" of the “Ruthless” podcast.
They were responding to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ interview on CNN Sunday when he appeared to have some difficulty explaining what the board was going to do.
Kelly said the board's "czar" Jankowicz “has no clue what’s real and what’s not.”
"So, Nina Jankowicz is a name that we are going to have to become familiar with, if we aren’t already,” Kelly said.
"She is going to be our new leader.
"Our new unelected 'disinformation czar'.
"She’s going to be running the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Board.
"The government disinformation board.
"And DHS Secretary Mayorkas was asked about her and what this board is going to do by [CNN host] Dana Bash, I think, Sunday, on CNN this past weekend.”
Mayorkas provoked widespread criticism after struggling to explain what the new censorship board was meant to achieve.
Bash grilled Mayorkas on his thoughts about President Donald Trump being reelected and taking control of such a department - a question he was unable to answer.
"So, what it does, is it works to ensure that the way in which we address threats, the connectivity between threats and acts of violence are addressed without infringing on free speech,” the DHS Secretary said at the time.
"Protecting civil rights and civil liberties, the right of privacy.
"And this working group will draw from best practices and communicate those best practices to the operators.”
Kelly joked that Mayorkas’ answer about the board sounded like something written by Vice President Kamala Harris who has been criticized for giving unclear answers during interviews.
"So, he was asked about Nina Jankowicz, who we do need to be concerned of about,” Kelly said.
"Because she seems like a lunatic.
"She [Bash] was asking him [Mayorkas] whether she was qualified, whether she’s partisan, so on. And he defended her.”
The host then played a clip of the DHS Secretary claiming Jankowicz is “imminently qualified” and a “renowned expert in the field of disinformation.”
"Really?” Kelly replied.
"Because [Jankowicz] is the one who dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop as just a Trump campaign drop.”
One of the guests came back with the fact that he thinks Nina earned her status as an “expert” because she was a “disseminator” of “disinformation,” while another simply said she was a “purveyor of disinformation.”
"Hillary Clinton type,” Kelly replied.
Kelly then played a clip of the 33-year-old czar when she was part of a Wizard Rock Band in the 2000s singing about Harry Potter and wanting to “solve the mystery between his legs” and something about not getting STDs.
"I feel like this woman just wants to be a star,” Kelly shared.
"Does everyone like who works at the White House … like Jen Psaki, she wants her own TV show of course.
"This woman, she wants to be a star.
"She just found some weird back way to develop some alleged expertise in an area no one cares about.”
"I guarantee you his woman [Jankowicz] has no clue what’s real and what’s not when it comes to the most dicey debates,” she added.
"Because she only listens to her one side and they didn’t report that [Supreme Court Justice Sonia] Sotomayor was wrong in the places that she listens to.”
Kelly’s last comment was in reference to when Justice Sotomayor falsely claimed in January 2022 that “100,000 kids are in the hospital or ICU or on ventilators because of COVID right now.”
Another video of Jankowicz went viral recently showing Biden’s new czar in a video singing about things she called fake news.
Mayorkas recently announced the creation of the governing board during his testimony before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security, reported Fox News.
The announcement came just two days after Elon Musk secured a deal to purchase Twitter.
