The Biden administration announced it would provide an additional $350 million in military assistance to Ukraine as it suffers from invading Russian military forces.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement:

“Today, as Ukraine fights with courage and pride against Russia’s brutal and unprovoked assault, I have authorized, pursuant to a delegation by the President, an unprecedented third Presidential Drawdown of up to $350 million for immediate support to Ukraine’s defense.”

“This brings the total security assistance the United States has committed to Ukraine over the past year to more than $1 billion,” he said.

He added the package will include further lethal defensive assistance to help Ukraine defend against “armored, airborne, and other threats it is now facing.”

As Brietbart reported:

Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said the military assistance would include anti-armor, small arms, and various munitions, body armor, and related equipment “in support of Ukraine’s front-line defenders facing down Russia’s unprovoked attack.”

“It is the third time President Biden expedited emergency security assistance for Ukraine’s defense in recent months using the Presidential Drawdown Authority,” he added.

A senior defense official said assistance would come in tranches and would include Javelin anti-tank missiles.

“We will move to provide this additional drawdown package as soon as we possibly can,” the official said.

“It will come in pieces as we can get it moving and as we can get it into the hands of the Ukrainians, but I can’t give you any timeframe, other than to say it’ll be moving as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, Ukrainian citizens are rising up against Putin themselves vowing to defend their land against the Russian invasion.

As Neon Nettle reported earlier this week:

Ukraine prohibited males aged 18 to 60 from leaving the country as the nation deals with Russia’s invasion.

However, the government has not yet enacted a military draft.

Yet thousands of men have been rushing to enlist to help defend their homeland, sending a loud and clear message to Putin that “Ukraine will not kneel.”

According to a report by NPR, hundreds were seen lined up outside the town hall in Mankivka, a town in central Ukraine.

“We will push these bastards from our land,” one Ukrainian patriot who hoped to enlist told the news outlet.
