Democrat Demands Feds Seize Trucks of American Freedom Convoy

A Democrat congressman is calling on the federal government to seize the trucks of those participating in the American Freedom Convoy that is heading for Washington D.C. to protest.
Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) called for the trucks of protesters to be confiscated and then given away to businesses looking to grow.
Gallego made the call in response to a news headline that reads: “Trucker convoy could shut down DC Beltway tomorrow.”

The WRC-TV report that Gallego responded to revealed that large numbers of truckers are heading to D.C. to protests against government-imposed mandates and restrictions.

The move echoes the protests in Canada, where citizens are peacefully demonstrating against their government.
"Law enforcement agencies in Maryland, Virginia and D.C. are monitoring what could be a number of trucker convoys coming to D.C.,” the report said.
"Truckers apparently spurred on by the recent protests in Canada want their voices heard, but the extent of the protests and how disruptive they may be is still unclear.”
Gallego's comments were met with a widespread backlash, however.

Gallego’s tweet comes after Canada’s leftist government enacted harsh measures, which have been widely criticized as being totalitarian in nature, to end the trucker protests in Canada.
The measures have even included the freezing of bank accounts of those who donated to the protesters.
