Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has fired back at Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) after she appeared on CNN and lied about his taxes.

Speaking during an interview on the far-left "news" network, Warren told viewers that Musk pays "zero" in taxes.

However, despite Warren's attempts to smear the Tesla CEO, Musk's last tax bill came in at a staggering $11 billion.

The filing made for the largest tax bill of any individual in U.S. history.

"You know how much he paid in taxes?" Warren said about Musk.

"One of the richest people in the world? Zero,” she said.

"And he’s not the only one," Warren continued.

"Jeff Bezos, right, another one of the richest people in the world, he pays less in taxes than a public school teacher or a firefighter.

"And they do this because they’re only being taxed on income.

"They very cleverly make sure they have no official income.

"They just have all this stock that keeps building in value, building in value.

"They borrow against it. It’s just not right.”

Media reports claim that Musk paid $0 in federal income taxes in 2018 because he didn't earn a salary that year.

However, he did pay $455 million in taxes between 2014 and 2018.

Musk tweeted in late December that he would “pay over $11 billion in taxes this year.”

Musk responded to the comments from Warren by writing on Twitter: “Will visit IRS next time I’m in DC just to say hi, since I paid the most taxes ever in history for an individual last year.

"Maybe I can have a cookie or something …”

The comments from Warren come just days after it emerged that Musk has donated billions of fortune to charity.

He reportedly donated roughly $5.7 billion worth of Tesla's shares to a charity, as per CNN.

The donation of 5,044,000 shares was revealed earlier last week in a filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The Tesla shares were gifted last year between November 19 and November 29, 2021, according to the filing.

At the time of those donations, Tesla's stock was reportedly trading above $1,000 per share, according to CNN.

This makes the donated shares worth $5.7 billion based on the average of the highest and lowest quoted price on the date of the transaction.
