Texas Brothers Kill ‘Pedophile’ Stepfather for Raping Their Sister
Police say stepfather was severely beaten and suffering from head trauma

Two brothers from Texas were charged after being arrested for murdering their "pedophile" stepfather for allegedly sexually abusing their sister.
Alexandro and Christian Trevino and their friend Juan Eduardo Melendez beat Gabriel Quintanilla, 42, to death in a field in McAllen, Texas.
The attack took place after the brothers learned Quintanilla had abused their 9-year-old sister, according to KRGV.
A Pharr Police Department news release reads:
“When brothers Alexandro and Christian Trevino found out, they became enraged and confronted Gabriel Quintanilla at the residence.”
“A physical fight ensued between the three and the victim Quintanilla left the location on foot."

Police say Quintanilla was severely beaten and suffering from head trauma.
Chief Andy Harvey of the Pharr Police Department said in a statement:
“This investigation was complex having multiple scenes.”
“I am proud of how our detectives were able to put the pieces together in such a short time,” he said.
18-year-old Alexandro Trevino was charged with aggravated assault (family violence) along with engaging in organized criminal activity.
Christian Trevino, 17, was charged with capital murder and engaging in criminal activity.
Juan Eduardo Melendez, 18, was charged with capital murder, aggravated assault, and engaging in criminal activity.

Quintanilla also had a warrant out for his arrest for the continuous sexual assault of a child and assault, which was unrelated.
The Monitor reported that the warrant against Quintanilla stemmed from family violence dating to 2019.
The case involved another minor child, and the abuse had been ongoing until reported to police three years ago.
“We understand the sentiment and the attention that this case has drawn in this homicide in our city,” Pfarr Police Chief Andy Harvey said at the press conference.
“We definitely understand that; that’s why I think it’s important to have this conversation.”
