NBC anchor Chuck Todd admitted that the American people no longer view Democrat Joe Biden as “competent and effective.”

Todd’s comments come following a recent NBC poll showing Biden’s dismal approval ratings.

During a segment on “Meet the Press,” Todd noted Biden’s 43% approval rating showed he’s “lost his identity,” and in the eyes of voters, he was “no longer seen as competent and effective.”

“President Biden’s news conference on Wednesday was designed to kick off a second-year reset of his presidency, recapture his political identity if you will, but our new NBC News poll suggests Mr. Biden does need a reset because he’s lost his identity a bit,” Todd said, in reference to Biden’s car crash press conference last week.

“He’s no longer seen as competent and effective, no longer seen as a good commander-in-chief, or perhaps most damaging, as easy-going and likable,” Todd added.

“In fact, just 5% of adults say Mr. Biden has performed better than expected as president, one of the many lowest firsts and fewest in our poll,” he said.

Todd also noted predictions of “shellacking” for Democrats in the coming midterms.

He also noted that Biden’s low approval ratings signal an impending defeat for Democrats, with a high number of Americans saying the country is heading in the wrong direction.

“But as you can see, two of our three most important indexes is sitting in shellacking territory right for the Democrats,” Todd said.

“This is a dangerous place for the party and the president to be at the one-year mark of this presidency,” he said.

Meanwhile, other establishment media outlets have admitted Biden is not on the ball.

Last week, CNN political commentator Van Jones admitted that Biden was “foggy and meandering” during his first solo news conference of 2022.

“I think you have to be honest that you can be a foggy, meandering president, say, like Reagan near the end if you’re winning.”

Neon Nettle also reported a recent poll found that less than half of Democrats and less than 30% of Americans want Biden to run in 2024.

Biden’s popularity is in a nosedive, according to The Associated Press and NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found

According to The Associated Press, more Americans disapprove than approve of Biden’s job performance.

Just 28% of Americans say they want Biden to run in 2024, including just 48% of Democrats.

Biden responded to polls showing that voters believe he is not mentally fit to lead the country, saying he “doesn’t believe the polls.”
