Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls Twitter ‘An Enemy to America’ after Being Banned
'Communist Democrats can't stop the truth'
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has had her personal Twitter account permenalty banned for violating the platform's "COVID-19 misinformation policy."
A Twitter spokesperson told Fox News:
"We permanently suspended the account you referenced (@mtgreenee) for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy."
"We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy."
Greene tweeted about "extremely high amounts of Covid vaccine deaths," which is believed why the tech giant banned her.
Twitter failed to give specifics in its statement but or if the tweet led to the permanent suspension.
Earlier this year, Neon Nettle reported Green was suspended for “misinformation" on the coronavirus.
The Republican was hit with multiple suspensions from the platform.
Greene tweeted that the FDA “should not approve the covid vaccines” and that they were “failing" to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
In July, Greene was suspended for posting “misleading information” on COVID-19.
At the time, Greene's personal account was placed in “read-only mode” for 12 hours.
Greene responded to the ban on the platform GETTR.
"When Maxine Waters can go to the streets and threaten violence on Twitter, Kamala and Ilhan can bail out rioters on Twitter, and Chief spokesman for terrorist IRGC can tweet mourning Soleimani, but I get suspended for tweeting VAERS statistics, Twitter is an enemy to America and can't handle the truth," Greene wrote.
"Social media platforms can't stop the truth from being spread far and wide. Big Tech can't stop the truth."
"Communist Democrats can't stop the truth."
"I stand with the truth and the people. We will overcome!"
Greene's ban comes almost a year after the platform banned former President Donald Trump in the wake of the deadly January 6 insurrection.
