Florida Set to Become America's 22nd Constitutional Carry State
Republican state on track to pass legislation

Florida is currently on track to become America's 22nd constitutional carry state, according to reports.
A report by the South Florida Sun Sentinel confirmed that the legislation is set to soon be signed into law by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.
The outlet reported that constitutional carry is a “priority” for Florida's Republican-led legislature.
Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R) has already introduced legislation to allow law-abiding citizens to legally carry firearms in the state.
The legislation seeks to scrap the concealed carry permit requirement for Floridians.
Under Sabatini’s bill, open carry without a permit would also be legalized.

Moreover, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has already stated his support for the bill.
The governor made it clear he will sign constitutional carry legislation, should it reach his desk.
Florida Gun Rights’ Matt Collins posted a video online about restoring Second Amendment freedoms in the state.
Collins asked DeSantis:
“If constitutional carry made your desk, would you sign it?”
Of course,” DeSantis responded.

There are currently 21 constitutional carry states in the U.S.
Those states are:
- Alaska
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- Idaho
- Iowa
- Kansas
- Kentucky
- Maine
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- Montana
- New Hampshire
- North Dakota
- Oklahoma
- South Dakota
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Utah
- Vermont
- West Virginia
- Wyoming
Anybody who can legally own a gun “should be able to carry a firearm at any given time,” Sabatini told the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
“I think it’s important to have a law on the books to allow people to defend themselves without government permission.”
