Migrants are attacking the Polish border with “full aggression” on the Belarusian frontier, as they use make-shift weapons against border authorities.

Director of the National Security Department, Stanisław Żaryn, told Breitbart:

“Although the numbers [attempting to cross] change, the methods remain the same – migrants, always in groups, encouraged and directly aided by Belarusian services – storm the Polish border with full aggression."

“Stones and rubble delivered by Belarusians, logs, metal poles from destroyed border fencing are used as weapons against the Polish border patrols,” Żaryn said.

Żaryn added that the “hybrid operation by the regime of A[lexander] Lukashenko, with a silent support of the Kremlin” — as Poland and its EU and NATO allies see the crisis — is persisting “regardless of the fact that it has become less spectacular” than it was in November; indeed he later added that the “attacks on our border have become more aggressive in recent days,” if anything.

Neon Nettle reported last month:

The border crisis between Belarus and Poland has escalated as Polish authorities resorted to using water cannons and tear gas to keep migrants from breaching the defenses.

CBS News reported:

Russia stood by Belarus with Lukashenko warning he could involve Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I will talk with the President of Russia and ask him to get involved and, if necessary, provide appropriate assistance, without drawing them [Russia] into this refugee crisis,” Lukashenko reportedly said.

Lukashenko reportedly told Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko that if Europe creates new sanctions, “you must not forgive them anything.”

“There were chaotic scenes as a group of migrants charged the fence."

"One of the migrants told CBS News that Polish police responded with a volley of tear gas and rubber bullets, as well as the water cannon."

"Migrants were seen hurling rocks and stones at the barbed wire fence.”
