Black Lives Matter says it still stands by Jussie Smollett after he was found guilty

The violent far-left organization Black Lives Matter says it maintains its support for convicted felon Jussie Smollett, even after the disgraced actor was found guilty of staging a fake "hate crime" against himself.

Despite Smollett being found guilty in a court of law, BLM says it is standing by the Hollywood star while urging the group's followers to "never believe police."

After overwhelming evidence against the actor was present to the court, the jury convicted Smollett on five counts of felony disorderly conduct.

The prosecution proved, without doubt, that Smollett faked a racist, anti-gay "attack" against himself, which he blamed on supporters of President Donald Trump, to get media attention and advance his own career.

However, Black Lives Matter maintains that the justice system is corrupt.

As Neon Nettle previously reported, BLM declared its support for Smollett during his trial, before the jury reached a verdict.

“So let’s be clear: we love everybody in our community — we can never believe police, especially the CPD over Jussie Smollett, a Black man who has been courageously present, visible, and vocal in the struggle for Black freedom,” BLM and BLM LA said in a statement to TMZ before the guilty verdict.

After Smollett was found guilty, BLM L.A. leader Melina Abdullah told the outlet that the group’s stance has not changed — the convicted felon has their full support.

Abdula said the organization refuses to "abandon its people."

BLM says it is sticking with the notion that the justice system is corrupt.

A jury convicted Smollett for five counts of felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report after he hired two brothers from Nigeria to stage a fake hate crime against him.

The brothers testified that Smollett paid them to "fake beat up" the defendant.

They said Smollett orchestrated the entire attack and planned every last detail of the hoax, including the clothes they wore, how they should hit him, and the language they should use.

The class 4 felony carries a maximum sentence of up to 3 years in prison for each count.

However, many experts believe celebrity Smollett will likely get probation and be sentenced to community service.

Smollett was acquitted of just one count of disorderly conduct.

While Smollett now faces a possible three-year prison sentence, it remains unclear whether or not he will be sentenced to any time behind bars, as the actor has no prior criminal record.
