As it becomes hard to find balanced media coverage of conservatives in America in 2021, Twitter's new shift in roles with Jack Dorsey stepping down as CEO could signal yet more censorship on social media.

On Monday, Dorsey stepped down from his leadership role at Twitter, being replaced by Parag Agrawal.

Agrawal was raised in India and graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay before coming to the US.

Parag Agrawal said this in a 2020 interview:

“Our role is not to be bound by the First Amendment.“

The remarks are quite worrying since Twitter has already implemented a series of purges and shadow banning on conservatives.

What's more, the new Twitter CEO knows there will be no repercussions for the company’s lawlessness.

The announcement confirms that Parag Agrawal, Twitter’s current chief technology officer, will succeed Dorsey.

"I’ve decided to leave Twitter because I believe the company is ready to move on from its founders,” Dorsey said in the press release.

"My trust in Parag as Twitter’s CEO is deep."

"His work over the past ten years has been transformational."

"I’m deeply grateful for his skill, heart, and soul. It’s his time to lead,” Dorsey added.

Dorsey, who is also the CEO of payments firm Square, will remain a member of Twitter’s Board of Directors until next year when his term expires, the firm said.

“I love Twitter,” Dorsey wrote on the social media platform late on Sunday ahead of the announcement.
