Polish Border Authorities Forced to Use Water Cannons to Defend Massive Migrant Surge
There were chaotic scenes as a group of migrants charged the fence

The border crisis between Belarus and Poland has escalated as Polish authorities resorted to using water cannons and tear gas to keep migrants from breaching the defenses.
CBS News reported:
“There were chaotic scenes as a group of migrants charged the fence. One of the migrants told CBS News that Polish police responded with a volley of tear gas and rubber bullets, as well as the water cannon.
"Migrants were seen hurling rocks and stones at the barbed wire fence.”
News Break reported:
The Border Guard agency posted video on Twitter showing a water cannon being directed across the border at a group of migrants in a makeshift camp.
Polish police said one officer was seriously injured when the migrants threw objects. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital, and it is likely his skull was fractured after being hit by an object.
The situation marks an escalation in a tense migration and political border crisis where the lives of thousands of migrants are at stake.

“The entire aggressive behavior is coordinated by Belarusian services and monitored by drones,” the Polish authorities said.
“As a result of an attack by people inspired by the Belarusian side, one of the policemen was seriously injured.”
The European Union has blamed Lukashenko for orchestrating the migrant crisis in retribution for the European Union’s sanctions on Belarus earlier this year.
The New York Times reported:
“European Union foreign ministers adopted new sanctions on the government of Aleksandr G. Lukashenko.”

The European Commission said sanctions would aim at “individuals and entities organizing or contributing to activities by the Lukashenko regime that facilitate illegal crossing of the E.U.’s external borders,”
Russia stood by Belarus with Lukashenko warning he could involve Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I will talk with the President of Russia and ask him to get involved and, if necessary, provide appropriate assistance, without drawing them [Russia] into this refugee crisis,” Lukashenko reportedly said.
Lukashenko reportedly told Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko that if Europe creates new sanctions, “you must not forgive them anything.”
“We are warning Europe, and yet they threaten to close the border,” Lukashenko said, per The New York Times.
“What if we close off the natural gas headed there?
"I would recommend the leadership of Poland, the Lithuanians, and other brainless people to think before they speak.”
As Neon Nettle reported last week:
"As frontiers of NATO and the EU saw violent clashes with migrants as Poland desperately attempted ot defend its border with Belarus.
"Ariel footage released by Polish authorities shows border guards and soldiers trying to hold back thousands of migrants armed with shovels, axes, and wire cutters."
Migrants from the Middle East are trying to violently force their way into Poland at the border with Belarus. They’ve broken through the wire fencing. They want to go to Germany & Northern Europe for the generous public benefits. pic.twitter.com/WHP2LaQLGX
