Durham to Call Former FBI General Counsel in Hillary Clinton Lawyer Case
James Baker called to testify in special counsel investigation into Russia Hoax

Special counsel John Durham is expected to call on former FBI General Counsel James Baker to testify in the case against former Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, according to reports.
Sussmann is charged with lying to the FBI to advance the bureau’s Trump-Russia collusion probe.
Last month, Sussmann was indicted on charges that he hid the fact he was representing Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign after he told the FBI he held evidence of secret communications between Donald Trump and Russia’s Alfa Bank.
Sussmann told FBI lawyer Baker, he was not representing any client when discussing purported evidence in 2016.
But prosecutors say he was there on behalf of Clinton's campaign.

The FBI found there was no evidence to support the Trump-Alfa Bank claims.
Durham's assistant counsel, Andrew deFilippis, said they are planning to call Mr. Baker as a witness during the trial.
Baker served as general counsel for the FBI from 2014 to 2018.
He now works as deputy counsel for Twitter.
Earlier his month, Durham launched investigations into Pentagon cybersecurity contractors over their roles in the Russiagate conspiracy origins.

As the Durham Probe builds pace, investigations have begun to center around a top advisor to Democrat Joe Biden's White House.
According to a report from RealClearInvestigations, Durham has shifted the focus of his investigation onto Pentagon officials.
Meanwhile, Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe presented Durham with a batch of explosive documents he believes will support charges beyond the ones filed against cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sussman.
"Sussmann's is the first of what I would hope would be a number," he stated.
Ratcliffe said he had "1,000 intelligence community documents" that would support more charges he would "expect" Durham to bring.
Sussmann is accused of telling an FBI lawyer he was not representing any clients when he was acting on behalf of Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign during a meeting on possible links between Trump and Russia.
