Two-Thirds of French People Say Christians Face 'Extinction' from Muslim Migration
French people said such a scenario will 'definitely' happen

Two-thirds of French people believe white Christians are facing a serious threat of extinction from Muslim immigration.
French people, 60%, said such a scenario will 'definitely' or 'probably' happen, according to a poll.
People were asked the question as French President Emmanuel Macron faces two right-wing candidates: Marine Le Pen or Eric Zemmour.
Central to Zemmour's ideology is the idea of 'The Great Replacement,' a theory that suggests Christian civilization is being replaced using Muslim immigration.
The poll carried out by Harris Interactive probed whether or not voters believe in the concept.

The question asked was:
"Some people speak of the 'great replacement': That European, white and Christian populations are being threatened with extinction following Muslim immigration, coming from the Maghreb [northern Africa] and black Africa. Do you see such a phenomenon?"
Sixty-one percent of French people believe the phenomenon could happen in France.
Twenty-seven percent say they are 'certain' it will take place.
Only 39 percent of people said it 'probably' or 'definitely' won't happen.
Out of those who said it 'definitely' or 'probably' will happen, the support for the theory was split across all age groups and across genders.

More than 90 percent of supporters of Le Pen's RN party believed it was a likely scenario.
Just 30 percent of Green said the same.
Fifty-two percent of Macron's own party believed it was a likely scenario.
A follow question asked if French people were 'worried' or 'not worried' about the idea of a 'Great Replacement.'
Sixty-seven percent - were worried about the idea, compared to just 33 percent who were not.
The issue of immigration impacting the French identity is set to become a vital theme of the upcoming election, as Zemmour threatens to usurp Le Pen for the chance to take on Macron.
Zemmour is now polling higher than Le Pen in some opinion polls ahead of voting in April next year.
The news comes just days after Neon Nettle reported that France rolled out new plans to invest millions of euros in taxpayer money on promoting Islam across the country.
French schools will begin prioritizing teaching the Arabic language, and the state will actively promote Islamic culture.
When announcing his new plan to combat Islamic separatism in French society, President Emmanuel Macron said on Friday his government would spend €10 million a year on the scheme, daily Le Figaro reports.
