Biden Under Investigation for Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal, Report Reveals
State Department’s inspector general launches 'series of investigations'

Democrat Joe Biden and his administration are under a "series of investigations" by the State Department’s inspector general over the botched U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, according to a new report.
The investigations were revealed in a memo, dated last week, that was obtained by Politico on Monday.
The memo, from Biden's Secretary of State Antony Blinken, said that the investigations are focusing on “the State Department’s Special Immigrant Visa program; Afghans processed for refugee admission into the U.S.; resettlement of those refugees and visa recipients; and the emergency evacuation of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul ‘to include evacuation of U.S. citizens and Afghan nationals.’”
On Monday, the State Department’s acting inspector general, Diana Shaw, informed several congressional committees of the work that her office is conducting.
However, State OIG spokesperson Ryan Holden attempted to downplay the bombshell report.
Holden insists that only “reviews,” and not “investigations,” are taking place.

Yet, Politico specifically stated that the memo referred to the actions as “investigations.”
"State OIG notified its committees of jurisdiction today of planned projects in the areas you mention,” Holden said.
"This work will be conducted in coordination with other members of the IG community.
"However, it is inaccurate to say that these projects are investigations.
"We indicated to Congress that these projects will be reviews.”

The report said that inspectors general from other departments were likely to launch investigations into the chaotic events that unfolded under Democrat Joe Biden’s leadership.
The report added:
The Pentagon’s IG recently announced three reviews related to the evacuation: an evaluation of the botched drone strike in Kabul that killed 10 civilians instead of the Islamic State target; a review of DoD’s screening process for displaced Afghans; and an audit of DoD support for the relocation of Afghan nationals.
Biden has faced intense backlash over his disastrous pullout from Afghanistan, including accusations that he lied to the American people.
Biden has also seen his poll numbers crater down as low as the mid-30s in the weeks following the debacle.
