Abbott Does Biden's Job: Operation Lone Star Catches Thousands of Criminal Migrants
'The crisis at our southern border continues to escalate because of Biden'

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's 'Operation Lone Star' is doing more to combat the border crisis than Joe Biden has done since he entered office.
Border Patrol is being helped by hundreds of state troopers, National Guard soldiers, and other authorities, resulting in the arrest of 4,600 border crossers.
It's a small portion in comparison to the hundreds of thousands of border crossings under Biden.
Abbott said a statement earlier this year:
"The crisis at our southern border continues to escalate because of Biden Administration policies that refuse to secure the border and invite illegal immigration.
"Texas supports legal immigration but will not be an accomplice to the open border policies that cause, rather than prevent, a humanitarian crisis in our state and endanger the lives of Texans."

"We will surge the resources and law enforcement personnel needed to confront this crisis," Abbott continued.
"Whenever you ask untrained law enforcement officers to engage in immigration enforcement efforts, they are going to revert to racial profiling," said Thomas Saenz, president and general counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
"That's exactly what an initiative like this invites."

The program has also faced problems in court.
Two illegal immigrants arrested on charges of criminal trespassing were dismissed by a Texas district court judge because prosecutors were "unprepared to present probable cause," according to USAToday.
"Operation Lone Star relies on racial profiling and systemically violates due process," the men's attorney said in a statement, according to USA Today.

He wanted Biden to allow the men to stay in the United States pending a hearing:
"We demand … that [Department of Homeland Security] cease any collaboration with this unconstitutional program," he said.
Neon Nettle reported last month that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said the border crisis is what Biden wants.
"That's the type of message he has been sending since day one of his administration."
"They are not blocking the Haitians anymore than blocking everyone else," he argued.
In August, a federal judge ordered the Biden administration to reimplement a key Trump policy that actually worked.
Trump's policy forced foreign nationals entering the United States illegally via the southern border to be returned to Mexico and wait for their legal cases to be adjudicated.
Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk ordered Biden to "enforce and implement [Migrant Protection Protocols, commonly referred to as 'Remain in Mexico'] in good faith until such a time as it has been lawfully rescinded in compliance with the [Administrative Procedure Act] and until such a time as the federal government has sufficient detention capacity to detain all aliens subject to mandatory detention under Section 1255 without releasing any aliens because of a lack of detention resources."
