Obama Admits Biden's Open Borders Are 'Unsustainable'
Former President's comments come amid Biden's border crisis

Former President Barack Obama has now openly admitted that having open borders is "unsustainable."
In the midst of Joe Biden's border crisis, Obama called for a reform of the immigration system in the United States.
During an interview on ABC's Good Morning America, the former President explained that fixing the system is something that is "long overdue" despite being a "tough issue."
Over 5,000 Haitian migrants camped underneath an international bridge in Del Rio, Texas, last week.
Neon Nettle reported that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted that approximately 12,000 Haitian migrants have now been released into the United States before adding the number "could be even higher."

Obama continued:
"As big-hearted as he is, nobody understands that better than Joe Biden."
"The question is now: Are we gonna get serious about dealing with this problem in a systemic way, as opposed to these one-offs where we're constantly reacting to emergencies?"
"And I think that that's something that every American should wanna put an end to," Obama added in reference to the release of images of Border Patrol agents allegedly whipping Haitian migrants.
"It is heartbreaking, and it is, I think, one of those situations in which if you have a system that overall is dysfunctional, you are going to get episodes in which what's happening right in front of you is something that nobody wants."

Obama added there are also rules and laws despite immigration being a problematic issue because Americans want to help others in need.
"We're a nation-state."
"We have borders."
"The idea that we can just have open borders is something that ... as a practical matter, is unsustainable," Obama said.
Last week, a top senator warned Joe Biden's immigration policies are "designed to fail."
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) slammed the Biden administration's handling of tens of thousands of illegal aliens that have flooded Del Rio, Texas.
Cornyn says Biden knows the policies will "fail" as they are "designed" to ultimately end up attracting more illegal aliens.
