A former top House Intelligence Committee investigator said the latest indictment from John Durham's inquiry has signaled what is to come.
Former Trump official, Kash Patel, said he believes a "very well-laid out" conspiracy charge will encompass Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, as per Fox News.
The latest indictment accuses former attorney from law firm Perkins Coie, Michael Sussmann, of lying to the FBI's top lawyer he was not representing any clients while he was acting on behalf of a technology executive and the Clinton campaign.
During the meeting in 2016, he tipped off the FBI about an alledged secret electronic channel between Trump's company and Russia's Alfa bank.
On Friday, Sussmann pleaded not guilty to giving false statements to the FBI as his lawyer insisted he didn't have clients and only represented the technology executive at the time of the meeting.

But Patel says there is a much larger story embedded in the 27 pages of the indictment.
"Sussman is the centerpiece for these allegations because he ties the Hillary Clinton campaign to Fusion GPS to Christopher Steele to the Department of Justice and the false information they fed to the FBI and DOJ to spy on the presidential campaign," Patel said.
According to the indictment, Sussmann billed the Clinton campaign for time spent working on the Alfa Bank matter and also the FBI meeting.
The indictment also accuses another former Perkins Coie attorney, Marc Elias, who also served on the Clinton campaign, exchanged emails with the “campaign manager, communications director, and foreign policy advisor" about the allegations regarding the Russian bank allegations.
In turn, Sussmann helped coordinate the dissemination of claims to the press.

Patel assisted the Republicans in their investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Earlier this week, former Bill Clinton adviser Dick Morris predicted that the indictment of Sussmann would lead to Hillary Clinton's indictment.
“[I]t might be that we’ve finally caught up with Hillary,” Morris proclaimed.
“We don’t know yet, but I’m going to probe it, and I think that there’s some chance now.”
"Durham just indicted a guy named [Michael] Sussmann … for lying to the FBI," he said.
"Sussmann worked for the law firm of Perkins Cole."
"That was the law firm that Hillary‘s campaign hired that conducted this stuff and fabricated the [Steele] dossier and all of that,” he continued.
“And he lied to the FBI and did not reveal that Hillary and Hillary’s campaign was paying him."
