Milley Defends Colluding with China: ‘Perfectly’ within Scope of Job
Milley has now been at the center of growing controversy

Gen. Mark Milley has defended colluding with the Chinese Communist Party in the final months of Donald Trump's presidency, arguing that it was "perfectly within the duties and responsibilities" of his role.
Milley said that speaking directly with the enemy behind the president's back is "routine," and he did so "to reassure both allies and adversaries in this case in order to ensure strategic stability."
Milley has now been at the center of growing controversy over reports he made two calls to Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People's Liberation Army to assure them there would be no attack on China.
Milley on Friday offered a defence of his calls:
"I think it's best that I reserve my comments on the record until I do that in front of the lawmakers who have the lawful responsibility to oversee the U.S. military," Milley said.
"I'll go into any level of detail Congress wants to go into in a couple of weeks."

Earlier this week, the Pentagon released a statement confirming the allegations that Milley colluded with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) behind President Donald Trump's back.
As Neon Nettle first reported, Milley allegedly warned China that Trump was "unstable" and took secret action to "secure" America's nuclear weapons as he coordinated with the Chinese and U.S. military officials against President Trump.
Trump himself responded to reports that Milley colluded with China behind his back.
The 45th president accused Gen. Milley of "treason" for holding secret meetings with the Chinese military while warning China that Trump is "unstable."
"If the story of ‘Dumba**’ General Mark Milley, the same failed leader who engineered the worst withdrawal from a country, Afghanistan, in U.S. history, leaving behind many dead and wounded soldiers, many American citizens, and $85 Billion worth of the newest and most sophisticated military equipment in the world, and our Country’s reputation, is true, then I assume he would be tried for TREASON in that he would have been dealing with his Chinese counterpart behind the President’s back and telling China that he would be giving them notification ‘of an attack.'”

Senator Rand Paul later called for Milley to be court-martialed for committing treason against the United States.
Sen. Paul (R-KY) wrote on Twitter Tuesday:
“I don’t care what you think of President Trump, the Chairman of the JCOS working to subvert the military chain of command and collude with China is exactly what we do not accept from military leaders in our country."
"He should be court-martialed if true."
Couple that with his inept handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and it is clear General Milley is no longer fit to serve as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and should be removed immediately.
