Abbott Shuts Down Border Entries Because of Biden’s ‘Sheer Negligence'
Texas Governor shut down six points of entry along the southern border
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has moved to curb the massive surge of illegal migrants flooding the border by closing six ports of entry from Mexico into the United States.
Abbott said in a statement Thursday:
“The sheer negligence of the Biden Administration to do their job and secure the border is appalling."
"I have directed the Department of Public Safety and the Texas National Guard to surge personnel and vehicles to shut down six points of entry along the southern border to stop these caravans from overrunning our state."
Abbott’s decision came after Fox News reported on drone footage showing migrants waiting for processing in Del Rio, Texas, jumped from 4,200 to 8,000 people.
“The border crisis is so dire that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection is requesting our help as their agents are overwhelmed by the chaos. Unlike President Biden, the State of Texas remains committed to securing our border and protecting Americans."

Abbott said the Biden administration asked Texas to help in closing the border, but reversed itself hours later.
“Six hours after U.S. Customs and Border Protection requested help from Texas to close ports of entry and secure the border, the Biden Administration has now flip-flopped to a different strategy that abandons border security and instead makes it easier for people to cross illegally and for cartels to exploit the border,” Abbott said in another statement Thursday.
“The Biden Administration is in complete disarray and is handling the border crisis as badly as the evacuation from Afghanistan."
"I have directed the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas National Guard to maintain their presence at and around ports of entry to deter crossings"
Since Biden entered office, illegal immigration has soared in the U.S.
The number of illegal immigrants crossing into the U.S. was 200,000 last month.
The huge number of migrants crossing the border in August 2021 is a 300% increase in illegal immigration over August 2020.
The Biden administration was ordered by the Supreme Court to reinstate former President Donald Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy.
As Neon Nettle reported:
In a 6-3 decision, the SCOTUS ordered Biden to reinstate President Donald Trump's "remain in Mexico" immigration policy.
The highest court in the land ruled against the Biden administration's order to end the Trump-era policy that had been successful in reducing the number of illegal immigrants flooding into the United States.
The policy required those seeking asylum in America to remain in Mexico rather than disappear into the U.S. interior while their documents were being processed.
