Taliban: Afghanistan to Be Ruled Under Sharia Law, ‘No Democracy at All’
'It is Sharia law, and that is it'
A senior Taliban commander declared Afghanistan would be ruled by an Islamic government guided by Sharia law and with "no democratic system at all."
Waheedullah Hashimi said democracy does not have "any base in our country," according to Reuters.
"We will not discuss what type of political system should we apply in Afghanistan because it is clear."
"It is Sharia law, and that is it," he said.
The Taliban claimed the rights of women would be respected within the "framework of Islamic law."
But hours later, the terrorist group shot and killed an Afgan woman who failed to wear her burqa.
A woman in the Takhar province was photographed lying in a pool of blood surrounded by loved ones.
Fox News reported that the woman was killed by insurgents after she was spotted in the street without her head covering.
Many observers are now concerned te the Taliban will return to 1996 in the country.
The Taliban have since allowed girls to return to school, handing out Islamic headscarves at the door.
Some Afghans have been suspicious of the Taliban’s statements.
"I don’t believe what they’re saying," one woman in Kabul told the BBC.
Another woman said:
"As long as my right to study and work is protected, I don't mind wearing a hijab."
"I live in an Islamic country, and I'm willing to accept the Islamic dress code - as long as it's not a burqa though because that's not an Islamic dress code."
Neon Nettle reported on Wednesday that the Taliban has been murdering people found with a copy of the Bible on their mobile phones.
The news comes days after the Islamist terrorist organization seized leadership of Afghanistan following Joe Biden's troop withdrawal.
According to Christian non-profit SAT-7, the Taliban uses “spies and informants” to persecute Christian minorities.
SAT-7 North America President Dr. Rex Rogers told Religion News Service:
“We’re hearing from reliable sources that the Taliban demand people’s phones, and if they find a downloaded Bible on your device, they will kill you immediately."
“It’s incredibly dangerous right now for Afghans to have anything Christian on their phones. The Taliban have spies and informants everywhere."
Neon Nettle reported earlier this week that the Taliban were “going door-to-door” and abducting girls as young as 12 years old to become “sex slaves” for jihadi fighters.
