Hollywood Celebrities on Afghanistan Collapse: 'It's Trump's Fault, Not Biden's'
The usual suspects of the blue tick contingent defend Democrat Biden
Hollywood's leftist brigade jumped to Joe Biden's defense amid the catastrophic collapse of Afghanistan following his disastrous withdrawal from the country.
The usual suspects of the blue tick contingent tried to blame President Donald Trump for Biden's chaotic retreat, which left desperate Afghans attempt to cling on to moving planes to escape the chaos.
Stars like Sophia Bush, Rosanna Arquette, Bette Midler, and George Takei, used their Twitter accounts to attack Trump, stating his 2020 agreement with the Taliban was to blame.
The Trump administration agreed to fully withdraw troops from Afghanistan by May 1, 2021, in exchange for the Taliban agreeing to cut ties with al-Qaeda and not to attack U.S. troops.
But the Biden administration ruined the deal by extending the Afghan war by four months and changing the date of the withdrawal.
Biden's alteration prompted the Taliban to drop its end of the bargain, which ignited the group’s takeover of the country.
But Bette Midler, who does not have a good track record of using facts, blamed Trump:
"#Republicans are trying to pin the blame for #Afghanistan withdrawal on Biden."
"Don’t believe it. It was #FuckUpTrump and #Pompeo who never included the Afghan government in their peace talks with the Taliban.
"This should be laid at Trump’s fat feet."

Star Trek veteran George Takei defended Biden, claiming he inherited a “sh*t show” from Trump.
When Biden took office, 45 had left a shit show:— George Takei (@GeorgeTakei) August 15, 2021
We shouldn’t expect miracles, yet Biden delivered some.
So let’s keep perspective and not let the GOP blame their myriad failures and problems on him.
Rosanna Arquette also cited Trump’s attempts to negotiate with the Taliban by tweeting the hashtag #TalibanTrump.
Where were the outraged republicans when Trump invited the Taliban to camp David ? We are sick of the Gaslighting— ✌🏼rosanna arquette (@RoArquette) August 15, 2021
Actress Sophia Bush also blamed Trump, saying that his administration “set this ball rolling.”
"The fact that the Trump Administration set this ball rolling, and did not include ANY human rights standards for the Taliban to follow?? It’s insanity.
"And those trying to blame Biden for this are gross political actors, all while AFG people are being terrorized. Period."

Disney’s Frozen and Beauty and the Beast star Josh Gad also cited Trump’s deal with the Taliban but spread the blame between Biden, Trump, Bush, and Obama.
Please spare us the faux outrage if you were someone who stood silently by when Trump attempted to pull out of Afghanistan and attempted a Camp David meeting with the Taliban. Biden should shoulder blame. So should Trump. So should Obama. So should Bush.— Josh Gad (@joshgad) August 15, 2021
Last week, Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) claimed Trump bore “very significant responsibility” for the disastrous situation in Afghanistan following U.S. military withdrawals.
"There’s no question that President Trump, his administration, Secretary Pompeo, they bear very significant responsibility for this."
