Trump: RINOs Caving to Radical Democrats Enabling ‘Massive Socialist Expansion’
'Infrastructure is just a ‘carrot’ for a massive socialist expansion'
Donald Trump blasted Senate Republicans for caving in to demands of Democrats on a bipartisan infrastructure bill.
Trump wrote in a statement:
“The RINOs in the Senate are delivering a big win by caving to the Radical Democrats on infrastructure."
Joe Biden, Senate Republicans, and Democrats have praised the bipartisan infrastructure deal; even though nothing has been released to the public after months of negotiations.
On Tuesday, Senate Republicans voted to advance the bill, despite Trump condemning the effort.
Trump said Republicans would end up being “steamrolled” by the Democrats with their multi-trillion-dollar budget reconciliation bill.
“Nancy Pelosi has said NO INFRASTRUCTURE until they get everything else,” he wrote.
“Infrastructure is just a ‘carrot’ for a massive socialist expansion.”
Trump warned the bill would include more tax increases, the rollback of his tax cuts, and amnesty for illegal aliens.
“Why are RINOs so desperate to push bad, Radical Leftist policies?” asked Trump.
“And at the same time give a big win to the Democrats.”
Trump said Senate Republicans were “politically irresponsible” for the bipartisan deal and giving Joe Biden a big win.
“The Democrats will use it to show they can get anything they want from the Republicans,” he wrote.
“Despite the popularity of it and the need for it, Washington hasn’t been able to get it done,” said GOP Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio, the lead GOP negotiator of the deal, after the infrastructure vote.
“This time, we’re going to get it done.”
Supporters of the bill have hailed it as a needed investment that will boost the economy as the U.S. tries to emerge from the coronavirus pandemic.
Democrats still face a range of pitfalls as they try to get the bipartisan bill and their separate $3.5 trillion spending package to President Joe Biden’s desk in the coming months.
Biden also endorsed amnesty for illegal immigrants into the multitrillion-dollar budget reconciliation bill.
“I think we should include in the reconciliation bill the immigration proposal," he said.
Democrats now believe they can use budget reconciliation to pass amnesty because of their confidence in the plan.
