Popular YouTuber Arrested for Raping Two Children
Brazillian Fortnite streamer lured young fans
A popular Brazillian YouTuber and Fortnite streamer has been arrested by police following accusations he lured young fans with his social media following and raping them.
Two of the alleged victims who came forward are 10 and 14 years old.
Raulino de Oliveira Maciel, or RaulZito as he is known online, has hundreds of thousands of followers across Twitch, YouTube, and Instagram.
Oliveira Maciel's gaming content is the sole focus of his channels, which attracts lots of young children.
According to police, Oliveira Maciel used his gaming fame to lure children and targeted them on Instagram.
Some child actors came forward as victims of the popular YouTube star.
RaulZito was detained by The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro’s Department for Child and Adolescent Victims (DCAV) on July 27 in Florianópolis, in the state of Santa Catarina.
The DCAV “arrested a video game YouTuber accused of vulnerable rape against two children," according to the police report.
A mother of one of the victims claimed her son suffered from abuse at the hands of the YouTuber between February and May this year.
Another child, who is younger than 12 years old, reported being molested by RaulZito.
The cases took place in the iterói, the Metropolitan Region of Rio, and in São Paulo.
Victims included 10 and 14-year-olds who are theater, film, and TV actors.
The accused gained contact with children through Instagram, promising them jobs in his area of expertise and even claiming to be hired by a major TV station.
The DCAV team asked the court for search and seizure warrants before he was located and arrested.
A statement was released by RaulZito’s team, SBT Games, following the arrest, saying RaulZito is no longer a part of the company and that they “awaits the elucidation of the facts and result of the investigation.”

Police said there are more than two victims, saying, “Investigations continue to identify other victims of the perpetrator.”
