Pelosi: ‘Insurrectionists Attempted to Overthrow the Government’
'The worst assault on the Capitol since the War of 1812'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced she is appointing Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R.-Ill.) to serve on her committee to investigate the events on January 6 during the so-called 'insurrection' at the Capitol.
Pelosi claimed in a press release that the riot was an attempt “to overthrow the government.”
“On January 6th, insurrectionists attempted to overthrow the government during the worst assault on the Capitol since the War of 1812,” Pelosi said.
“It is imperative that we get to the truth of that day and ensure that such an attack can never again happen,” she said.
“That is why we established the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol, which is bipartisan.”

“Today, I am announcing the appointment of Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger, an Air Force veteran and Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard, to serve on the Select Committee,” Pelosi said.
“He brings great patriotism to the Committee’s mission: to find the facts and protect our Democracy.”

“Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi today announced the appointment of Congressman Adam Kinzinger to serve on the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Neon Nettle reported that Ashley Babbitt’s mother, Michelle Witthoeft, accused Pelosi of orchestrating her daughter’s death.
My daughter was a California constituent, and Nancy Pelosi not only, I feel like, orchestrated the death of my daughter.”
“I’ve reached out to Nancy Pelosi’s office several times, and she has yet to call me back because she’s too busy playing in her clubhouse with all of her elite people,” Witthoeft said.
Last month, Pelosi claimed the root causes of the incursion were “white supremacy, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.”
Earlier this year, Sen. Lindsay Graham, R-S.C., questioned what Pelosi knew prior to the Capitol riot.
"Here’s what I want to know: What did Nancy Pelosi know, and when did she know it?" Graham said at the time.
