Trump Scorches Biden Admin on Cuba: 'I Fought for Cuba, They Didn't'
'The proud people of Cuba are desperate to be free'
Donald Trump has released a statement calling out the Biden administration for failing to support the Cuban people's massive uprising against their communist government.
Trump said in a statement:
"The proud people of Cuba are desperate to be free from the iron boot heel of the Island's Communist regime.
"These incredible warriors for freedom risk everything to take to the streets in their quest for freedom."
"The Biden Administration's refusal to forcefully condemn Communism and the Cuban Communist Regime is a national travesty."
"The Biden Administration's ludicrous suggestion that the Cubans are protesting government mismanagement — not brutal Communist oppression — is an insult to every Cuban patriot who has suffered, been imprisoned, or died in pursuit of freedom," he continued.
Biden faced backlash over his frail response from the State Department spokesman Ned Price, citing the "mismanagement" in Cuba.
"Today's Democrat Party is so far left they can't even take a stand against violent Communism. Many are Communists themselves!" Trump continued in his statement.
"The Biden Administration is squandering a historic opportunity to stand for freedom and human rights in our home region."
"The Biden Administration is betraying the freedom-loving people of Cuba," he added.
"I fought for Cuba, they didn't."
Biden's lack of support did not go unnoticed by America's Cubans either.
Cuban Americans took to the streets of Miami, Florida, protesting Biden's lack of support for the people of Cuba.
Protesters blocked a major expressway in Miami in response to Biden's inadequate support.
One protester told reporters Cubans "need Biden’s support" to end communism.
"We haven’t gotten support from the president," the man said of Democrat Biden.
Thousands of protesters flood the streets of Cuba on Sunday, demanding an end to their communist government.
Biden falsely claimed Cubans were seeking “relief from the tragic grip of the pandemic," failing to mention it had anything to do with their oppressive communist government.
Most notably, Sanders had defended communist dictator Fidel Castro in he past.
AOC also faced fire after calling for the United States to end its embargo on Cuba while skirting around the reason Cubans were protesting.
“We also must name the U.S contribution to Cuban suffering: our sixty-year-old embargo," Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tweeted.
"I outright reject the Biden administration’s defense of the embargo. It is never acceptable for us to use cruelty as a point of leverage against everyday people.”
But former Florida congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell blasted AOC, highlighting “failed policies of a communist regime that has violated human rights, imprisoned & killed dissidents.”
“This is a matter of national security. The US must act,” Mucarsel-Powell tweeted.
