Marc Lamont Hill: All White People Are Inherently Racist
'I don't know if you're backing me into a corner with that question, but yes'

Temple University professor Marc Lamont Hill stated he believes all white people are inherently racist during an interview with political commentator Liz Wheeler on the "Black News Tonight" show.
"I don't know if you're backing me into a corner with that question, but yes, I do," Hill said in response to the question of whether he believed all white people are racist.
"I do believe that all White people are at some level, at the unconscious level, connected to racism; it's unavoidable."
Critical Race Theory has become a controversial topic, with many people, including parents, now calling the ideology divisive and racist.

"I think all men are sexist at some level," Hill explained.
"I think that's absolutely the case."
Hill quibbled with the historical accuracy of one of Wheeler's examples, then ended the interview after answering her challenge.
Hill challenged Wheeler's arguments that critical race theory was Marxist by asking her to name supporters of CRT who were also Marxist.

"I wish they were as radical as you say they are!" Hill said at one point.
Hill's comments concerning white people prompted fire across social media.
"Literally believing that all white people are racist ... is a racist ideology," said Wheeler on Twitter.

"I also said all men are sexist. Is that a sexist ideology?" responded Hill to Wheeler's tweet.
Many on Twitter responded that it was sexist to claim all men are sexist.
In 2018, Hill was fired from CNN when he gave a speech at the United Nations, which many said was anti-Israel.
"It's baffling how people are not responding to the critique, but instead responding to things I didn't actually say," he tweeted at the time.
