Trump Urges Republicans to Keep Fighting to Defend Second Amendment Rights
President Trump send warning to Democrats about gun control during CPAC 2021 speech

President Donald Trump has called on Republicans to keep fighting to defend Americans' Second Amendment rights amid the gun control push from Democrats.
Speaking during his speech at CPAC 2021 in Dallas, Texas, Trump warned that Democrats are using the surge in crime in blue cities across America to push anti-2A policies.
He blasted Democratic lawmakers for pushing to “defund the police,” causing disaster to follow as crime and violence raged.
The 45th POTUS suggested that defunding the police was part of an effort to trigger a crime wave that could be used to target law-abiding gun owners.
He noted that "the same far-left Democrats" who have called for police budgets to be slashed are also calling for gun control laws.
Trump called on Republicans to stand firm against this push from the Left.

"The same far-left Democrats who are defunding police are also leading an all-out crusade to strip you, the law-abiding citizens of America, of your God-given Second Amendment rights," Trump said.
"I preserved that right 100 percent.
"And you think that was easy?
"It wasn’t easy," he continued.
"There was so much pressure.
"Republicans must never waver in demanding that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

As Trump spoke of the Democrats’ efforts to disarm Americans he said, “I told you, I told you.”
This is the same message he shared with thousands of Americans who attended his June 26, 2021, Wellington, Ohio, rally.
In Ohio, he said, “If you remember, when I was campaigning against Joe Biden I said, ‘They are going to take away your guns’ and ‘Your Second Amendment is under siege.’”
He was right.
