Reports and videos across social media captured a huge blast at Dubai's main port, which shook buildings across the entire city.

Photos showed the fire at Jebel Ali - a large commercial port.

According to reports from regional source Al-Arabiya, a ship docked at the port exploded amid rumors that an oil tanker caught fire.

The fire is still currently raging, according to reports.

Al-Arabia reported:

"A blast was heard across parts of the UAE’s city of Dubai on Wednesday night, with residents hearing a loud explosion, according to witnesses."

More images show a monstrous blaze engulfing the whole area.

"Reports of a major explosion and fire at an oil tanker," according to Iran International, however, the cause is still unknown, and it's still unclear just what blew up.

The Twitter post from Dubai's state-run media office said that a fire was reported to have erupted on a ship and that a team of firefighters was working to control the blaze. Witnesses reported shaking buildings across the city.
