Ted Cruz Slams Joe Biden's 'Incompetence,' Says He's 'Jimmy Carter 2.0’
'We already have a gas crisis, gas lines, an inflation crisis, war in the Middle East,'

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted Democrat Joe Biden, likening his presidency to the disastrous Carter administration of the late 1970s.
During an appearance on FNC’s “Fox News Primetime,” Cruz noted the similarities of the two time periods.
“[T]here’s an analog in relatively recent history, and that’s to Jimmy Carter,” Cruz said.
“And I believe Joe Biden is Jimmy Carter 2.0. We’re five months into the Biden administration," he added.

"We — we already have a gas crisis, gas lines, an inflation crisis, war in the Middle East," Cruz said.
"And the same sort of ideology and incompetence that the — that characterized the Carter regime, characterizes now the Biden-Harris regime."
"And it took Jimmy Carter to give us Ronald Reagan.”

“I think Joe Biden is setting — setting up for this country to move dramatically back in the direction of fiscal sanity, back in the direction of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights,” he added.
Earlier this year, Biden was slammed as "the next Jimmy Carter" by economists due to missed projections by more than 700,000 jobs for the month of April.
Perhaps the top response to the jobs report came from Donald Trump Jr., who wrote on Twitter:
“Biden isn’t the next FDR, he’s the next Jimmy Carter.”

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said that nearly 10 million Americans, 9.8 million to be exact, remained unemployed in Biden’s economy.
Instead of admitting to the issue, however, Biden attempted to claim that the worrying figures are all part of his administration's plan.
