Texas Gov. Greg Abbott: Kamala Harris Is ‘Misleading America’ on the Border
The governor argued that the only place to tackle the crisis was at the border.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott told senior Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials, members of Congress, and Texas sheriffs that America is being misled by Kamala Harris on the border crisis.
Sitting alongside President Donald Trump, Abbott said:
“She’s misleading America."
The governor argued that the only place to tackle the crisis was at the border.
Abbott added that if Harris is successful in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, there are still illegal migration issues from the other 147 countries arriving at the southern border.

Abbott also issued a state of emergency declaration asking for other states to assist with border-related issues.
“Just know that the people of Texas and people of America,” Abbott said.
“Thank you for stepping up and providing your resources to help secure the border, knowing full well that what comes across the border does not stay at the border, in fact; it goes to your states and other states across the entire country.”

Abbott told President Trump that Texas law enforcement officers have already arrested nearly 1,800 people during Operation Lone Star.
The governor said this is in addition to: “40,000 apprehensions of people who’ve come across the border illegally, and they have busted 41 stash houses.”
Neon Nettle reported that over half a million illegal immigrants have flooded into America since Biden tapped Harris to take charge of the crisis.
Harris only recently agreed to visit the border after Trump announced he was visiting.
In April, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich said Harris repeatedly ignored his invitations to tour the state's border facilities.
"I guess if you were a philosopher, you would say no response is a very loud response because we’ve not received any response," Brnovich told Fox Business host Dagen McDowell.
