Democrat Pressley Says She Supports Defunding Police despite Skyrocketing Crime Rates
'Reallocating and not further investing in a carceral state'

Democrat Rep. Ayanna Pressley said she still supports defunding the police despite the exploding crime rates across the United States under Joe Biden's watch.
During an interview with CNN, host Don Lemon gave Pressley the opportunity to say she did not support defunding the police.
“Is defunding the police not part of something that you support?” Lemon asked.
“Don, what I support and why I put forward bills like my Counseling Not Criminalization Act is that instead of our spending $1 billion over the last two decades to have 46,000 school police officers when every child does not have equitable access to a school nurse, a social worker or a guidance counselor, some of those ratios are one counselor for every 2,000 students,” Pressley responded.
“So, yes, I support a radical reimagining of community safety and public safety."

"Which means reallocating and not further investing in a carceral state, especially when we have not yet ended qualified immunity."
"So, you know, that needs to be the priority is, police accountability.”

Despite the obvious crime surge under Biden, leftists are blaming the crimes for 60 years on police and not Democrat leadership.
The radical organization called The American Friends Service Committee said it is helpful to defund police and instead “invest in our communities.”
1. Policing in the U.S. was established to maintain white supremacy.
2. Policing doesn’t keep us safe.
3. Body cameras, trainings, and other so-called reform measures will not end cycles of police violence.
4. Policing diverts billions of dollars from schools, health care, and other vital programs that need more funding to strengthen our communities and support shared well-being.
5. Black organizers are calling for divestment from policing and investment in human needs across the country.
