A majority of voters have rejected Rep. Ilhan Omar's remarks comparing the Unites States and Israel with Hamas and the Taliban terrorists, a Rasmussen poll revealed.

Omar wrote Omar in a tweet:

“We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban."

“I asked [Secretary of State Antony Blinken] where people are supposed to go for justice.”

61 percent of voters reject Omar’s “anti-American rhetoric,” the poll revealed, and half support censuring her.

Earlier this week, over 200 rabbis demanded House Speaker Nancy Pelosi removes Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from the House Foreign Affairs Committee for her anti-Semitic remarks.

The rabbis wrote in a letter:

"We reiterate that the mob attacks on American Jews today are directly attributable to the rhetoric of Rep. Omar and those who stand with her within and beyond Congress."

"To protect Jewish Americans and, moreover, safeguard the integrity of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, we thus insist upon the removal of Rep. Omar from her appointment."

Earlier this week, over 200 rabbis demanded House Speaker Nancy Pelosi removes Rep. Ilhan Omar (

"Rep. Omar's unfounded assertion that Israel committed ‘unthinkable atrocities’ by defending lives against an openly genocidal terror organization is not merely offensive, it is pernicious – for it is grounded in the blood libel and the calumny that Jews poisoned wells during the Black Death," they wrote.

"Without anything resembling a forceful response from the Democratic Party, tolerance of anti-Jewish hatred has proliferated."

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy vowed to remove Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee if the GOP wins the House.

McCarthy said:

This is an individual that has not once but on numerous occasions been antisemitic. Her own entire Congress had to rebuke her in the last one. But she’s not just antisemitic. She’s anti-American now. She’s equating America to Taliban, to Hamas. She’s discrediting our greatest ally in the Middle East, Israel, the only democracy.

Almost two-thirds [65 percent] of GOP voters would support censuring Omar for her comments, while 35 percent of Democrats and 50 percent of unaffiliated voters also would, the poll found.

Pelosi said last week she wouldn't take further action against Omar over he tweet which claimed the U.S. and Israel, like Hamas and the Taliban, we're guilty of "unthinkable atrocities."
