Biden's Border Crisis Now at Worst Level in DHS History
CBP encountered 180,034 persons attempting entry in May

Democrat Joe Biden’s escalating crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border plummeted to new lows in May as more illegal aliens were apprehended as they tried to cross into the U.S.
The number is more than any other month on the Department of Homeland Security's record to date.
In a statement, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said:
“In May 2021, CBP encountered 180,034 persons attempting entry along the Southwest Border."
“Single adults continue to form up the majority of these encounters.”
The eye-watering numbers represented an unbelievable 674% increase vs. May of 2020 when just 23,237 illegal aliens were apprehended.

May's number is now the worst in more than two decades.
Trump, during his presidency, managed to fix the border crisis and kept numbers low throughout Fiscal Year 2020.

RNC Research Director Zach Parkinson observed the latest border statistics came after Kamala Harris visited Central America to address the root causes of their border crisis
“Biden Admin clearly trying to bury this,” Parkinson wrote.
“They chose to release this after hours while Biden is in the UK and White House press corps is operating on a different schedule.
"This also conveniently comes **after** Kamala Harris returned from Guatemala and Mexico City, so she couldn’t be asked about it on her trip.”

“More than 38,000 children who migrated to the United States from countries south of Mexico and came across the southern border without a parent have been released throughout the country since President Joe Biden took office,” The Washington Examiner reported.

“The figure represents the highest number of migrant children to be discharged from government custody at any point in U.S. history.”
Trump said the current border crisis has been caused by “gross incompetence” from the Democrats and floated the idea of visiting the southern border himself.
“These are great people that work so hard for our country, and I’ve been asked to go, so I’m seriously considering it, it could happen, relatively soon, just to support these incredible men and women who have done such a good job and you know they just are left out to dry,” Trump said.
Trump added that nobody in Biden’s administration is properly assessing the crisis, calling it “disgraceful” and “really terrible."
“So it’s totally open. I personally think it’s incompetence," Trump said.
"I don’t think it’s to let people in because so many of the people are criminals coming in.”
In April, a CNN poll revealed the majority of Americans do not approve of how Biden is handling what they believe is now a border crisis. 78% of those polled believe that the situation at the border is a crisis.
But just 19% believe otherwise.
