Hundreds of angry protesters took to Democratic Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s home to show their disapproval of her job performance.

Over 300 demonstrators gathered outside Lightfoot’s house with signs giving her an “F” grade for police reform, the coronavirus, education, housing, and other things.

The event was posted on social media with the hashtag #2Years2Much, referring to Lightfoot's second anniversary of her mayoral inauguration.

Tara Stamps, who works for Chicago Public Schools, said:

“It’s not enough to be black, it’s not enough to be female, you gotta be right."

Even liberal community organizers are sick of Lightfoot and even sponsored the event and the Chicago Teachers Union, Black Lives Matter Chicago, Illinois Raise Your Hand, and GoodKids MadCity.

The Mayor later responded to the backlash saying it was because of the "overwhelming whiteness and maleness" of the Chicago media institution.

"I have been struck since my first day on the campaign trail back in 2018 by the overwhelming whiteness and maleness of Chicago media outlets, editorial boards, the political press corps, and yes, the City Hall press corps specifically," Lightfoot wrote.

The mayor also faced fierce criticism for managing the Black Lives Matter riots, which saw a sharp rise in violent crime throughout her city.

Lightfoot also told residents to ignore CDC guidelines and continue wearing a mask despite being vaccinated.
